US Melt Steel = 0% Tariff

JM USA manufactures its hot-forged bolts and cap screws using 100% U.S.-melted and poured steel, with all subsequent forging and finishing conducted within North America. Because the raw steel originates and is processed in compliance with the “melted and poured” standard under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 and is produced entirely within the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade region under the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), our products do not fall subject to the Section 232 steel import tariffs. Moreover, recent updates to Section 232 reaffirm that derivative or finished articles are exempt from duties when the steel content was melted and poured in the U.S.

This configuration ensures that our fasteners qualify as tariff-free regarding steel import duties, provided they are imported into the U.S. under proper documentation verifying the origin and melt/pour source of the steel.
